Removing and installing the covers

  DANGER

  • Only qualified electricians are allowed to work on the electrical system.
  • RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Before opening any covers, make sure to set the circuit breaker in the building's electrical installation to OFF. Live wires are exposed when the sealing cover or service cover is removed. Always use the LOCK OUT/TAG OUT method.

This section explains how to remove the individual covers. Refer to this information during the installation of the Solar Life when covers need to be removed.

The trim cover

To remove the trim cover:

  1. Remove the Torx bolt ⓐ.
  2. Remove the trim cover Ⓐ by unclipping it on the bottom left, bottom right and the top.

To install the trim cover:

  • Follow the removal steps in reverse order. Make sure the trim cover Ⓐ clicks into position in the bottom left, bottom right and the top.

The sealing cover

To remove the sealing cover:

  • Remove the six Torx bolts ⓐ and remove the sealing cover Ⓞ.

    • NOTICE Make sure not to damage the seals Ⓟ Ⓠ.

To install the sealing cover:

  • Follow the removal steps in reverse order. Make sure the seals Ⓟ Ⓠ are correctly seated. If they are damaged, replace them.

The service cover

NOTICE The RFID/LED user interface is attached to the service cover Ⓡ and plugged into the main board. Disconnect it before removing the service cover.

To remove the service cover:

  1. Disconnect the connector ⓐ of the RFID/LED user interface from the main board.
  2. Remove the four Torx bolts and remove the service cover Ⓡ.

  

To install the service cover:

  • Follow the removal steps in reverse order.
