  DANGER

  • Service, maintenance tasks and repair work shall only be done by an authorised, properly qualified and skilled person. Only qualified electricians are allowed to work on the electrical system.
  • Risk of electric shock! Live wires are exposed when the sealing or service cover is removed. Always be aware of the live wires and do not leave the product unattended in this condition.
  • Disconnect the electric vehicle from the charging station before any intervention.

Testing the internal RCD/RCBO

NOTICE

Only applicable to models with an internal RCD/RCBO. Refer to Technical data for model information.

If the charging station has an on-board RCBO, it needs to be tested yearly by a qualified electrician.

To test the internal RCD/RCBO:

  1. Remove the trim cover and the sealing cover .
  2. See Removing and installing the covers.

  3. Energise the product and test the internal RCD/RCBO for correct functioning. If it does not function correctly, replace it.
  4. DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Before replacing the RCD/RCBO, make sure to set the circuit breaker in the building's electrical installation to OFF. Always use the LOCK OUT/TAG OUT method.

  5. De-energise the product and install the sealing cover and trim cover .
  6. See Removing and installing the covers.

  7. Energise the product.

Checking and replacing the seals

  WARNING

The rubber seals shall be checked whenever the product is opened. Preserving the product’s water- and dust-tightness is important. If in doubt, replacement of the seals is advised.

To check and replace the seals:

  1. Remove the trim cover and the sealing cover .
  2. See Removing and installing the covers.

  3. Check seals and look for signs of damage, wear and tear, moisture or signs of hardening. Replace the seal(s) if necessary.
  4. Install the sealing cover and the trim cover .
  5. See Removing and installing the covers.
